We have added a family member. We got him yesterday at the Anderson Humane Society. After looking at the puppies and trying to get a smallish dog, Richard started on paperwork. While he was filling it out, I continued to look around. He caught my eye. I decieded then and there I did not want to deal with puppies and their mess (nor their breath). This was the one. He is about 9 months old. He is adorable. He has reddish fur. The Humane Society had named him Tink. We renamed him. I tried to think of the perfect name for him. The reddish fur stood out. My mind reeled. And then it came to me. Dexter. His name is Dexter. Not named after that little boy in the laboratory. But after the forensic blood specialist slash serial killer.
We went straight to Pet Smart. We got him a new collar, food, and some toys. My favorite buy was the blue and gray jacket for him. He is adorable in it. It was only $10 as it was 50% off. He fits in with our family. He is now a DiMaggio.
